A total of 11,406 students enrolled during the 2019 spring term at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

The University of Alabama awarded some 5,716 degrees during its spring commencement May 3-5. At the 187th Commencement ceremony on May 26, Wesleyan conferred 763 bachelor of arts degrees; 44 master of arts degrees; 22 master of arts in liberal studies degrees; and 11 doctor of philosophy degrees.

Dean's List Spring 2019

The Omicron Delta Kappa Society is the national leadership honor society for college students, faculty, staff, administrators and alumni that recognizes and encourages superior scholarship, leadership, and exemplary character. Membership in ODK is a mark of the highest distinction and honor. Omicron Delta Kappa recognizes and encourages achievement in scholarship; athletics; campus or community service; social and religious activities; campus government; journalism, speech and the mass media; and creative and performing arts.

Students in the Knox College Theatre Department's 2019 Repertory Theatre Term have produced two plays, "The Children's Hour" and "The Laramie Project." The immersive term -- a three-credit course -- is specifically designed so the participating students, along with faculty directors and designers, devote all their time to all aspects of producing two full-length shows.

Nearly 1,500 students were named to the Fall 2018 Dean's List at Tallahassee Community College.

Nearly 600 first-year students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall earned $7.7 million in merit scholarships for their outstanding high school achievements. BW grants a wide range of scholarships to current students each year. Including merit and need-based scholarships, BW students received over $48 million in financial support from the University for the 2018-2019 academic year.

The Tallahassee Community College Foundation has awarded several scholarships to TCC students.

On May 9, more than 300 Wesleyan students received University prizes and awards during a reception.
